BTS Tower Hampers Waterway in C. Jakarta

A Base Transceiver Station (BTS) tower with 30 meter height on Jalan Cempaka Putih Timur 24, RT 06/RW 03, Cempaka Putih Timur Urban Village, Cempaka Putih is requested to demolish. The tower existence above waterways has forced Central Jakarta Water Management of Public Work Sub-Department (PU) made a twist-waterway to avoid the tower.

How come it stands above the waterways? Related local subordinates might cheating us

Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede asked his subordinates to immediately investigate the tower. The street near the tower is narrow due to the twisted-waterway. If the heavy rain pours, flood is unavoidable.

“This is a serious matter. How come it stands above the waterways? Related local subordinates might cheating us,” he asserted, Wednesday (3/11).

Pardede added that the tower has been existed since 2014. Thus, he deplored that his subordinates seemed letting it happened.

"We might know who behind this tower after we demolish it," he added.

Central Jakarta Sub-dept. of Public Works for Bina Marga, Pamudji, explained that his side has sent reprimand letter to the tower owner for demolition. The administration will handle the demolition if the letter is ignored.

"We give a week for the owner demolishing the tower," he disclosed.
